Grant Samuel Funds Management (GSFM) is an independent funds management firm, with nearly $4.4 billion in assets under management as of 31 March 2013. GSFM specialises in marketing funds managed by high calibre local and international managers to Australian institutional and retail investors.

In international equities, GSFM has created an alliance with leading US based manager, Epoch Investment Partners. The first funds from this partnership, the Grant Samuel Epoch Global Equity Shareholder Yield Funds, were launched in May 2008.

In May 2008, GSFM acquired an equity stake in Tribeca Investment Partners, a successful Australian Equity boutique manager which has been investing clients’ funds since 1999. As of 31 March 2013, Tribeca had over $1.5 billion in funds under management. As part of the arrangements with Tribeca, GSFM has been appointed as its external distributor.

In May 2011, GSFM formed a relationship with Payden & Rygel, a Los Angeles based independent investment management firm established in 1983, to distribute its global fixed income and absolute return strategies in the Australian market. Payden & Rygel is 100% employee owned by twenty shareholders, all of whom are active employees of the Firm. Payden & Rygel has AUD$73 billion of funds under management across a broad range of strategies and products.

GSFM has successfully marketed the strategies and funds of its partner managers to institutional and retail investors and clients include government institutions, industry superannuation funds and multi-manager organisations, as well as bank-owned retail distribution platforms. GSFM only seeks one partner in a particular asset speciality – one that produces high quality strategies that are attractive for both institutional and retail investors.

GSFM is staffed by a group of professionals with extensive experience in the Australian funds management sector.
