Office Assistant – Corporate Finance
We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Office Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a busy Independent Corporate Finance office.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys being at the centre of an office, takes pride in presentation, and wants exposure to a professional services environment with room to grow.
Role Description
This is a full-time, office-based role with a strong focus on reception, office presentation, meeting support and general administration. You’ll be a key point of contact for visitors and staff, helping ensure the office runs smoothly and professionally each day. Over time, there is scope for development into Executive Assistant–style support, with training provided.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming clients, candidates and visitors and managing reception requirements
- Setting up and resetting meeting rooms (including refreshments and AV support)
- Maintaining high standards across reception, meeting rooms, kitchens and shared spaces
- Managing office and kitchen supplies, stock levels and deliveries
- Assisting with general administration for the Corporate Finance team
- Coordinating mail, couriers and basic travel bookings
- Supporting facilities, health & safety and day-to-day office issues
Development opportunities
With training, the role may expand to include:
- Calendar and meeting coordination
- Meeting preparation and follow-up
- Travel coordination and expenses support
- Document formatting and basic executive admin
About you
- Friendly, professional and confident dealing with executives, clients and visitors
- Reliable, organised and comfortable with hands-on work
- Strong attention to detail and pride in a well-run workplace
- Able to juggle routine tasks and changing priorities
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Discreet and professional when handling confidential information
Experience
- Experience in an office, reception, hospitality or retail environment is helpful but not essential
- Exposure to a corporate or professional services environment is desirable
- Full working rights in Australia required
