James joined Grant Samuel in 2026 and specialises in independent expert’s reports and business valuations. He has worked on public company transactions including acquisitions by scheme of arrangement, takeover offers, mergers of equals, demergers and de-staplings. His experience spans a wide range of industries, including infrastructure, property, financial services, natural resources, building materials, consumer and retail, technology and media.

Prior to joining Grant Samuel, James was a Director in Kroll’s Australian valuations practice. He also has experience valuing unlisted businesses and infrastructure assets, including airports, ports, toll roads, telecommunications networks and oil and gas infrastructure.
